Men and women were created with many of the same skill sets. Society, however, can place a stigma on women for exhibiting masculine traits. This building intensive was created to garner those skills and positively use them to build the life of your dreams instead of destroying it. “As I recall these past few weeks in SIS Boot Camp, the first scripture that comes to mind is Jeremiah 31:3 where God told Israel that he loved them with an everlasting love and by loving kindness had he drawn them. Cassandra has such a way of listening, redirecting, and showing so much compassion and understanding that it gave me the desire to try to “follow the model.” What she displayed and represented models love! The tools given throughout our time together help me to write out a plan for my life, addressing every area of my life! You know, write the vision, make it plain! She helped me to examine and address who I am without the labels of what I do! It challenged me to be accountable to her, because I knew we were going to meet the following week and be accountable to myself by following through with what I said I desired for my life. I learned to pace and have patience with myself, to not allow a moment to be a way of life, and to keep going! I am grateful for all she has poured out, the questions that made me think, the understanding and compassion she gave, and the listening ear as I navigate to do and become better!”
